Official Mermaid Concept Art

a few weeks ago Entertainment Weekly released some concept art for one of the mermaids in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Here's the scan of Syrena from the magazine. These mermaids have been incredibly fun and challenging to work on, and I can't wait to see everything finished and on the big screen!

i'm pretty surprised that i was able to find the time, or even motivation, to get it colored up this week - but i did it! so here's my same pet monster with a lil' color treatment! off to a good start this week.

yaaaaaay! the DRAWAHOLICS blog is back up and slowly gaining speed again - the first topic this time around was 'my pet monster'

on a side note, i doodled this up on my new toy - the asus eee slate ep121 - first tablet to have a legitimate wacom digitizer (to my knowledge)! it.is.soooo.nice :3
